Ah me. Saturday at about 16:07 CST and it's a mite boring here at the Casa.

There is something I could/should be doing in the garage.......

@ Home. Didn't have any luck getting a load out on Friday. Not worried at all though as it means a couple of days relaxing over the weekend. Went out to see my girls family for supper last night. Had a few beers and a big feast of BBQ ribs on their new deck. Then went over to have a look at the big shop my girls brother has built to expand his sandblasting and painting business. I worked for him doing blasting and painting a few years ago and the new shop is awesome compared to the way we were doing it! Will be getting my truck in for blasting and painting later this year when I can.
Dropped my girl at the airport today. She is off to Halifax NS for a 3 week externship shadowing an oral surgeon in the hospital. Very proud of her for studying hard and being accepted to partake in this program. It is an introduction to oral surgery and a foot in the door for her if she wants to specialize in surgery when she completes her 4 year dental studies at university.
I have the apartment to myself tonight and then will be heading back out Sunday afternoon to pick up a load Monday morning. It's only picking up an hour away from home but the pu is for 7am. That would require me getting up about 3am to leave enough time to get to my truck and trailer then head out to the pick up. If I go tommorow afternoon I can park at the shipper and get a full days driving on the book Monday. Got to deliver in Las Vegas on Wednesday morning so don't got a lot of time but it's enough so that's all good.

Every mile between me and that hick burg in the middle of of those moron hillbillys has brought increasing levels of joy into my life.

It took those freakin' idiots 3 hours to figure out how to reload that trailer so I wouldn't have 38,000 lbs on my drives. Alda NE, at the little TA here... getting ready to make some dinner.
