I worked for a cyro company. Husband and wife team. Making 130 to 145 a year each. Live off one income save the other. Goal was 1 million in savings in 10 years. Solo guys were 105 to 135 for OTR.

I did local flat in Chicago cleared around 1450 a week. But banging into Chicago one or twice a day plus 9 hours of commute a week too much. Money was solid. Except for oil for work most money I made. As an OO I make more but 1900 a month truck payment, tires, 2290 filings, Bob tail insurance, personal health insurance, pay tax preparer, oil changes, real repairs, ect. Its less with current rates.

UPS is probably the best imo. I interviewed for seasonal and wasn't hired. They try you at seasonal, then hire full time as needed. I had a 5 over speeding ticket in Indiana, so they wouldn't hire me. 10 years ago it was 32 an hour. If you get on regular. You started at 18 and every 6 months go up until your 2nd year your at top rate, which was 32. Then the pension after like 30 years or 20 years I don't remember. It was 2k a month. That plus social security it would be 4 k a month, once you hit 65. Idk what it would be now.

If you had said it was a workman's comp claim you wouldn't get the bill

    it goes to the employer

Forward it to HR. They should pay. If not talk to a work comp lawyer. Them to pay a 1000 is nothing. The lawyer will make it worse.

Like 5 or 6k. Or whatever. " You lost feeling in your left hand. Now you have nerve damage." Now it has to be 50k.

But can you work? Do you need a home to sit in and play dead? Idk. It's better just to have the company pay the bill.

The other thing that a don't sign anything from your company. I got injured once and went to the hospital. The companies insurance company sent me a medical release form for all my records. I stalled on signing it. I took it to a lawyer he told me not to sign it. According to him. The companies insurance company would use it to search for reasons I was injured previously, which isn't allowed in Illinois. To avoid paying for medical. The company I worked for paid about 10k in medical bills, specialist and ER. I didn't sue, maybe I should have, but I didn't
