I’m never opening my mouth about being home every night again!
I was asked to take an over nighter yesterday and another one today. Lol
I don’t have to do them, but both loads pay good so what the hey? Sitting in Jackson, MS tonight. Will deliver in the morning, pick up a load in the area and then back to Arkansas (home). No more over nighters this week! Lol
So if you want to see a tanker (pneumatic) in a truck stop, come by the Pilot in Jackson, MS tonight.
Just look for the shiney, sharp looking white Pete 389 flat top with dual stacks and 36” sleeper.![]()

Used to keep a piece of plywood behind the seats. Many nights that was my bed. Lay across both seats. And the bed is ready. Was pulling Methanol, Brake Fluid, 10, weight oil. Come to think of it that plywood never did sleep well.
But man today it would not for sure. 165 lbs back then and well way over that now. -
I don't bend in enough places anymore to be doing that.
It took about an hour before I could walk upright again.Bud A. Thanks this. -
I sleep in cab if tanker loaded, if u loaded I sleep in the tank

I'm home most nights but I very, very rarely will sleep in a truck stop. Usually sleep at the rack or a gas station I delivered too. A few large truck companies will let me stay on their lot if I ask as well.
When i left OTR I realized that truck stops were the most aggravating part of my day. I avoid them at all costs, even to buy fuel. -
placarded coffee! it's very strong! you can put it in your car!
