At idle, no. N-14 is low pressure, high volume.

Even with a new oil pump mine read the same at idle and maybe 35 or 40 @1500.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you get a scan guage to double check your dash gauges. My 1995 Pete is off at least 10% on most readings vs. scan from ECM.

I’d also run a sample, (analyze and then . . . ) consider rolling in rods and mains, replace oil pump whole pan is off, and replace piston cooling nozzles at the same time.

Nozzles are plastic and can crack/break , losing you pressure - rods and mains I believe good insurance.

I paid shop to do all this, less than $1500 I think.

Now you’re the consignee warehouse inventory control manager too!

That’ll make some nice extra pay!

I guess I probably sound like the “THROW MONEY AT IT” guy, but I bought mine at 965,000 miles and ran it to 1.2 million and kept it off a hook.

I used to drive a 1995 T600 with a red top N14. The engine protection shut me down in a construction zone at night in the pouring rain once. I limped to the nearest shop where they replaced the oil pressure sensor located near the compressor even though the gauge read 35-40 psi. 5 minute fix. It’s been ~15 years but IIRC they said the sensor will shut you down if it reads 17 psi?

I'm eating lunch with my attorney. It's cheaper to feed her than pay billable hours.

The appeteezer. Nachos with a side of guacamole.

Im a monday-friday regional guy who should be home in bed either tuesday or wednesday. I reluctantly accepted a NJ run that didnt go as promised at all. Never made a peep about any of the issues from then until now.

8 days in the truck, walked into office and boss looks at his imaginary wrist watch and says "youre slow."

ripped him a new one, and we now have a proper understanding of how our relationship will function for best performance. Hes a good guy, i like him.
