Where to put tandems for alley dock?

    We do all of our testing in an empty truck

    Then definitely adjust the tandems full forward. However, after you make the adjustment, make sure to inspect the tandem pins to be sure all four of them seated properly, and tell the DOT tester that you are doing so.

    That was an automatic fail when and where I took the test.

    I think you can pass in GA if you scrape a curb with your sidewalls, but will fail if you hop up on a curb. Can't remember for sure. I know it was mentioned by one of the other drivers who said they scraped a curb, but they failed their test that day because they stalled the truck, so *shrug* not sure how true what they said was, because they didn't pass that day.
