I was a trainer of students pulling dry van trailers for two years. I made what I considered to be a substantial income as a trainer.
I am thinking about getting into liquid hazmat tankers. I know that pay varies as much or more by region than by what type of trucking you are in. Nonetheless, the natural wage is higher for certain types of trucking than others. For instance, team drivers usually make more money than solo drivers.
In a given region, is the natural wage higher for solo liquid hazmat tanker drivers or for trainers of students pulling dry van trailers?
Where's money? Liquid hazmat tankers - trainers pulling dry vans?

I don't know what trainers on dry vans make but one fact stands out. People move from dry vans to tankers and they seldom move back.
Even if the amount of money was the same driving tankers is a lot less hassle than having to put up with greenhorns learning to drive dry vans.snowman1980, Crude Truckin', mitrucker and 9 others Thank this. -
