Usually lot pay demand lots of your time. I did car hauling for about 2 years they money was good but I had to drive old truck and run the northeast.
The UPS team trucks they have running. Those guy said that they never stop the truck. No joking they only stop to fuel. The must piss in jug. He was saying they do everything when they stop to fuel. Yes they make great money but the driving part sounded like no fun
I looked into a little they have a trucking company that has armed drivers. You have to carry a gun if I remember. They pay crazy money also but it team driving and someone ALWAYS has to be wake in the truck.
I have seen US Mint trucks. They have at least 3 trucks that I actually seen driving on the highway. That are bullet proof with armed security in front and behind them. I think they pay good money. They don't even stop at weight stations. Some thing they run team and never stop
Their is or was trucking company called Southern Pride. They would haul airplane engines. One engine is like $30 million, so they can afford to pay great money to move an engine not even think about the freight rates.D.Tibbitt, Doealex, Buddy Thunderstruck and 1 other person Thank this. -
The best jobs, the high-money jobs, never have to recruit drivers. Their drivers never quit so openings are rare.
They don't make a lot of noise and they seldom do anything to draw attention to themselves.
They're usually local or short regional and they haul specialized cargo.
Fuel hauling is good if you get the right company. Cryo is another lucrative gig. Hauling Class A explosives usually pays well.
After you're out here a while you'll start noticing them. Talk to the drivers if you get a chance. Get your time in and then start hitting them up for work.blairandgretchen, Tonythetruckerdude, D.Tibbitt and 4 others Thank this. -

I went the tanker route got 1 year otr with Schneider Then found a local gig hauling fuel. Pretty good company I’m looking at pulling in 70k this first year home every night and only working a 5 day week. Could be more if I want to add a 6th day and the holiday pay is pretty nice. But home everyday is truthfully worth 100k to me.
