Woah, didn't know about Big John! I'm unloading in Quinnesec in the morning, just up the road. I might have to make a detour.

Why do they always have to stand on the hood of the truck? Do they think that makes them look bad ##*?

I hate waking up thinking I overslept only to get dressed and as I'm walking into the truck stop to get coffee, I realize had another hour to sleep. I don't know how you do these stupid early mornings @slim shady

I know that feeling, usually I start a 3 so I'm getting up about 1:30 and my body clock always gets me up before my alarm goes off, Even 4am starts I'm up at 1:30, really sucks

Same. On Sunday and Monday I'm at the yard by 2am. Then Wednesday and Thursday I flip shifts and start at 10am. But I always end up waking up after only a couple hours and then tey and remember what shift I'm on

After my first trip to the U.P. a couple weeks ago, I did a little shortie back to the terminal, then did a Wisconsin to Fernley, NV. Stopped and saw family on the way out, then stopped by the house over Memorial Day weekend. I got to drive in snow in Wyoming on the way out, too, which is always nice.

Last week I had a load to northern New Jersey, which made me miss the snow in Wyoming. Still, the miles were good, and I dodged all the tornadoes. Deadhead back, and now I'm getting a reset in Calvert City, KY, and will load for a short run back to St. Louis on Monday.

As far as sleeping, I prefer to get up and start driving around 4 am, but that doesn't always work out. I get really turned around sometimes, but for the most part I'm able to get a solid eight hours every night, sometimes nine. Melatonin helps, but it doesn't prevent that panicky confusion when I first wake up. I have to really think about what day it is and where I am and where I'm going some mornings. When I say "think," I mean I have to look at my paperwork and the Peoplenet to see what's up.

I'm looking into LW Miller Tanker Division. I'm in East Texas and see an ad for the Tyler Texas area. I'm going to drive around and see if I can locate their yard to see how far from my house it is. Anybody know where it is? Their website don't have a location listed for the Tyler Texas area and Google don't know either.
