I'm totally ready to get back to work. While I love vacations, I'm vacationed out. (I can't believe I may said that)

So after 3 months of no truck I'm finally ready to move my first load tomorrow. It took from May 1 to July 10 before my truck was totaled out and my insurance paid out, about a week later I bought my replacement. I had the dealer do a bunch of work to it so I didn't get it back to the terminal until Sunday. Now the qualcomm is in and just need to get the permit book and I'm gtg. I got a freshly resprayed bright red 379 EXHD pete, fresh Platinum overhaul, clutch, radiator, and a bunch of other stuff. Ready to roll.

I just had six days off, and took a week last month. I think I could retire tomorrow and not get bored. Too bad I can't afford it. Now I'm spending the weekend in New Jersey with no way to justify bobtailing 20 miles to see Washington's Crossing -- or at least, finding a place to park up there.

    History is a good hobby.

    Rugerfan Thanks this.

I'm down in Houston. Rented a room been out for 10 days. Turned on the bunk heater to run it. It came on for like 2 minutes. I don't know if it turned off since it's 93 degrees out or because something is wrong. At least it ran some fresh diesel thru it. It did throw oit heat and kept blowing.

Now today I had to put on the chemical suit to get loaded. 96 in Houston at noon. Sweated so much socks were soaked.

    I miss the north....
