Well I got a giant kick in the nuts today..... Truck is in the shop and I was expecting a call saying it's all done (and covered under warranty). Not the call I got.

Truck needs a need head & cam. Since the head will be off and truck has 900,000, I'm doing a full overhaul.

Not the way I wanted to start my holiday weekend.

 

Off till next Friday.

 

Off 'till tuesday , another oil run for me. Compressor should be up and running sometimes next week

 

Yep, not loading until Tuesday night, so I get a long weekend. Heading out shortly to decorate graves with Mom and my brother. Lawn mowing and maybe barbecue also in the picture. Should be a nice weekend.

 

Nope, not labeled corrosive or anything else hazmat. Just need to avoid making it into an aerosol with high pressure water or air after it has dried. Also avoid fumes and ingestion.

And yes, it is a blessing in disguise. I'll miss the money I'm sure, but it's nice to get a chance to recharge. I spent two years running as hard as I could and all I got for it was a five-day stay in the cardiac unit and four months of recovery. I need to remind myself of that from time to time, even though it's only been six months.

Yessir, it is a blessing, well deserved by you; I might add. Some of the stuff you used to haul, crazy runs, man. You've finally gotten what you put in. A comfier job, and some R and R....much needed.
