    Soon as possible. I'd like to give my current employer 2 weeks notice though, don't want to burn any bridges. Once I hear back one way or the other I can plan better. Applied for my TWIC card and passport. Had a DOT physical yesterday, got a 2 year card (I'm guessing Prime will want to do another but now I know nothing is hiding.)

    Plan on getting my CDL permit next week. Been studying. Made up some Pre-Trip "flash cards" so I am ready when it comes time for the final CDL test.

    The permit problem is a state by state deal. Some make things entirely upside down and inside out. Call your state DMV, and I'm sure someone who is knowledgeable about CA will chime in.
