Scottie, care to share what you've made?
Not trying to be ugly or unkind, I actually like what you post, but was just wondering how you do.

    Upinsmoke and Cabinover101 Thank this.

10 million lifetime views on my channel works out to $32k in gross earnings. It is the easiest money I've ever made. Just have to deal with a few haters now and then and the ironic thing is that the haters think they are destroying my channel are actually paying me more lol

PE_T, dwells40, BigHossVolvo and 3 others Thank this.

I'm very defensive against the haters, most of whom are truckers. You'll have to forgive me for my attitude.

    BigHossVolvo and Upinsmoke Thank this.

Just to clarify, you get a set amount for every view?
.. does it have to be the entire video?

    Upinsmoke Thanks this.

I only hate because you have ulterior motives behind posting your videos and it's all just amateur half hour posts about nothing.

    Upinsmoke Thanks this.

Many different metrics go into it. Time watched, ads watched or blocked or skipped determines how much the video will earn. Most youtubers make more money selling merch like tshirts and coffee cups on their channel along with brand deals or even making sponsored videos that a big corporation will pay thousands for the video rights

Everyone with a web presence is doing it for money these days. Youtube is probably the biggest in the game, Amazon and Facebook right behind making billions off of views (page or video views).

TV has been doing it forever with commercials but a regular guy making content on youtube is reviled for having a 30 second ad on their video, which I find so ironic.
