    I've always wanted to drive. What company do you guys recommend training with? I'm 58 and love driving.........I'm considering Prime, Schneider or maybe Roehl? Thank you!

    The "best" answer...depends in part -- on where you live.....what city/state are you in (or near)?

    Do you already have your CDL?

    If not -- do you plan to get your CDL thru a tech school or community college?

    How many accidents/citations have you had in the last 5 years (if any)?

    Any criminal history?

    Good plan. KLLM Transport is a good outfit and runs coast-to-coast & border-to-border. Check it out to see if you're in the hiring area. Call the recruiter.

    I’m guessing not since he’s looking to be a truck driver. Or, maybe he’s looking to be the first mobile 5 star restaurant.

    A recipe for a potentially VERY COOL celebrity chef TV series:

    Start off with one otherwise very competent professional chef -- who possesses a very charismatic & entertaining personality;

    Add to that a quart or so of a "Globe Trekker"-themed TV cooking production -- shot & choreographed highlighting different scenes from different destinations in the US.

    Spice it up with photography from inside & outside the tractor....like backing into a tight space, docking to a platform with a flatbed trailer, etc...

    Garnish with cuisine specific/native to each week's destination.

    Result: a cooking show with a potentially consistent audience already baked into the cake.
    :occasion6:

    "Let's DVR it & see where he goes & what he cooks in the next episode" :3some:

    Pick the best place to work and then decide how/where to train.

    ^^^^^ What he said :thumbup:^^^^^

    First -- figure out what type of freight you want to pull -- then decide what carrier(s) you want to run with for that freight -- then find out from where/what school(s) they best like to hire.
