There’s a lot of politics and favoritism in the LTL business too which creates some terrible driver morale situations, and sometimes even workplace violence.
Why do flatbed over van/reefer? I don't see the extra money

I'm pretty sure most guys that do that stuff are darn near broke. Don't pay any better /mi than van freight, and with all the delays, plus gotta pay for permits and escorts.cke, singlescrewshaker, Tug Toy and 2 others Thank this.

In the past, I did have to deliver to a few retailers distributing centers. At one I received a “ban for life” just because I insisted that they unload the trailer at the appointed time. The time they scheduled, no less.
