I'm with Straight Talk through Walmart after leaving Verizon. Verizon claim they're the best but Straight Talk uses everybody's towers, including Verizon's so I'm getting their reliability for about $30.00 less per month. Straight Talk is coming out with a mobile hotspot and their coverage is less than half for the unit and the monthly coverage. I've had multiple issues with Verizon's services and their customer service is great 1/2 the time and the other 1/2 they are useless. The only bad thing with Straight Talk is they are slower to get the latest and greatest phones so if you have to have every new phone that comes out, you'll be a month or two behind.
Why do Verizon sales people feel the need to lie?

Yeah, we're talking about 4G coverage. And Verizon still stomps anyone else in coverage, especially out West. Obviously it all depends on where you run. Show us a coverage map that says differently.
This site covers it well.
As quoted by the web page.
"It’s a general rule that cities have better coverage than rural areas, but if you live in less populated areas, Verizon’s your best bet for latching on to that 4G LTE signal."
Another article here says basically the same.Last edited: Mar 9, 2019

I had Verizon since 2010 until two years ago.
So I switched to att and att was good but it was missing something. I went back to Verizon... I lasted two months and now I’m back at att.
As much as I hate to admit it. Att walks over Verizon currently. My brother switched too he teathers I don’t.
Edit: most providers will feed you crap about hot spot teathering how they don’t condone it. -
