That's good to hear, I know I've talked with people outside of work and they always tell me that when ever they are behind a flatbed they get scared and try and pass, final destination scene. I tell them most guys are usually good with securment and we gotta stop every 150 miles or 3 hours, not counting the first 50 miles or one hour.

I just got unloaded and made sure all my stuff was put away, had to strap my cheater tarp to the catwalk and not even 15mins down the road I'm stopped at a rest area to check it, and of course use the head.

I'm more worried about the vans where you can't see what's inside and how it's secured if at all. I've seen a few fb going down the road that I gtf away from asap. But for the most part at least you can see the securement.

I always figure 2 to 3 hours to secure and tarp a load. That's for a load which I consider "pretty" meaning even heights and no gaps, no pesky edges etc. for "tarp eaters"( awkward size and shape and those lovely gaps you fall in every now and then) I'll stretch it out to 3 sometimes even 4 hours. I'm more concerned with correct them fast. But then again I run paper logs so...yeah

Isn't this a reason why the government is mandating elogs? I think shippers need to held accountable, today I went to sdi in butler indiana, that was the best place I've gone to so far, you set up outside, once you are ready you call the guard house and they scale you and give you all you paper work and tell you what door 1.5 hrs with two coils and tarping.

I may be misinterpreting your post...but do I think shippers should be held responsible for how long I take?? Not at all. If I sat there all day and my deck is empty because they just screw around sure....but if there is a legitimate hold up I don't fuss. I'll digress on the elog subject before I even start beating that horse...he died a year or so ago
