FWIW, I have read that visible does block some LTE routers, specifically the Netgear Nighthawk models. I do agree that Visible is a pretty decent service for the price and have used it myself in the past.

Visible also offers unlimited everything for $25/mo. They also use the Verizon network. Once you sign up for visible service go to their forums and get yourself put into someone's "Family plan" that offers unlimited everything for 4 phones at $25/mo. They will find someone's plan for you to share. You don't have to know anyone in your plan. I don't know anyone that I'm sharing with. You also don't need someone in the plan to pay the bill and then collect from strangers. Each user pays their own $25. A great place for cell phone info and reviews is Howard Forums.
Another great provider is US Mobile. $30/mo unlimited phone, texts, and a hard cap at 50GB. -
I’m not very tech savvy; if I get the router do I still need a device to act as the hotspot?

Using T-Mobile since I joined trucking in 2015 , yes sometimes cell and internet speed not that great . But unless you constantly running in a middle of nowhere. It will give you quite a lot for a $

I appreciate the info!!!MidWest_MacDaddy Thanks this. -
Good luck with that, i had a similar service i used that rode atts towers for 40$ a month, worked great, then att just disallowed it, they shifted to tmobile and it both sucked AND throttled after 10 gb.
Living in a rural area that sucked, had to go back to dsl it was so bad. The infuriating thing is that it was working perfectly for 6 months before the change.
So as i said, good luck, but i dont trust too good to be true things will last -
Gabe2790 Thanks this.

I use Sprint, which is now T Mobile. I have a tablet and phone. My 10.5 inch tablet is my workhorse and I use it for pretty much everything. If it did regular text messages and phone calls, I wouldn't bother to have a phone also. I commonly stream cable TV video and movies from Prime and Vudu. Anyway, each device gives me 50 gig a month hotspot data. I think they simply charge you if you use more. I do use the hotspot ability whenever I need to fire up my laptop. Coverage seems decent. Some places work better than others, but overall I don't have any complaints.
Thay said, I'm not a gamer and don't need the type of speed and bandwidth needed for most gaming set ups.
As for price, I have a total of 4 phones and my tablet on my account (my sons and significant other) and pay around $225 a month. I recently upgraded my sons phones which is the main reason it's so high. -
