Mine is working exactly as it was programmed. I am assured this the ONLY thing computers ever do.

So you're a new driver with a system that hasn't caused a problem YET?

You know what really bothers me the most. Take a look at this photo.

This is my arm. I am wearing a Dexcom G6 Constant Glucose monitor. The day is coming when a trucker will be required to have biometrics and they MUST all be in normal range just to operate a truck. Blood pressure goes way too high, get a call from safety telling you to park. Same with spiking blood sugar. Having to sleep with something like CPAP doing real-time. The next morning you can't start till you get medical clearance you are safe to drive. Pulse rates clecked. Gosh help the driver going through a divorce. Automatons are not the real enemy of a trucker today and won't be for some time. The real enemy is all this dang tracking. Trust me, this is only beginning. You even look like you are nodding off safety can disable the truck. Having to blow every 30 to 45 minutes to ensure you are not drinking alcoholic beverages. I'm glad I am done with it all!

Autonomous trucks are on the road, now. Autonomous cars are on the road, now. They aren’t making the news daily because the technology is working. As I’ve said, these autonomous trucks are not going to put us drivers out of work. They are far more expensive than butts in the seat. Mega carriers will buy 10 or a 100 of them. They will still have thousands of human driven trucks.

The drivers who are in these Level 4 autonomous vehicles are not going to be monitors. They are going to be highly qualified drivers, with technical training. Right now, the autonomous trucks have both a driver and a technician, on board.

Isn’t it the call from Safety that causes the blood pressure to go too high? :)

Seriously... pay attention to Elon Musks warnings. AI is developing at a faster rate all the time. It’s coming quick. It is the Apocalypse.

Not in my case, no. Its just a system thats there for my cruise to work. It prevents no collisions because I am paying attention. And im fairly good at spotting when my system is going to try to kill me and others around me with a hard brake. So i disable cruise until ive cleared the area.

It doesnt really do anything except occassionally turn homicidal.

The shortest distance between 2 points will always be a straight line. Everybody knows that.

The future will be drones imo. It’s the only practical way to automate freight with minimal risk to humans.
