I would think that after a season or two of driving anywhere in Wyoming, one would have an understanding of why it has one of the lowest populations.

Well at one point near Green River in a valley the truck said -27. But I'm thinking that's registering the wind chill as well.
I think it was only like -12.
There was lots of ice and packed snow. A pretty nasty crash around MM 90 or so on the west bound side. PRIDE was over the embankment trailer sticking up in the air. Looked like he got tangled up with a giant fuel hauler that was jack knifed on the highway along with another truck, and 3 or 4 more big trucks in various states of carnage. About a mile past that, the back up was already about that long, another FLD was fully jack knifed across the highway, cargo spilling out the front of the trailer.

Earlier about MM 40 or so PRIME was off in the middle in snow up to the running boards, he was headed east.

And of course Elk Mountain. 60 miles of 40+ MPH winds that created a full white out.

    Good times.

There has to be at least a 1,000 pounds of ice on the trailer & Casper. It's 3 inches thick in sheets. Even the air lines & umbilical have giant chunks of ice on them.
Wonder how long to thaw once I get south again?

The snow in Wyoming wouldn’t bother me so much if it wasn’t for the 9000 mph wind.

It doesn't bother me except when it's several inches packed on the highway. And like the white out where visibility is like 100 feet. Cause it's all up and down, not much flat space.

I'm sorry but that doesn't sound anything like the how the tourism people speak of Wyoming. Are you sure you're in Wyoming?

Well you know they tend to talk up the good parts. The 3 miles of ICE road to the shipper is probably down played, along with the unplowed ramps.
