Keep disinfectant for the mat, and be meticulous about how you store it. The hardest part is the mental discipline to decide that you can still get in your workout, and that you will maintain healthy eating habits. I'm usually good for 2 30 minute cardio sessions per day, and my eating is 50/50. That being said week 4 seems to be when fatigue starts catching up with me and I lose the mental focus to keep the discipline.

If you're flatbed, you're empty almost as much as you are loaded. Why can't you jump rope or w/e on the trailer? Personally, I don't like other people (watching me). I don't care what I'm doing, look somewhere else. I used to carry a bicycle with me but wife insists on having a passenger seat so waiting to have time to get a rack fabricated.

Just be happy if you actually stick with OTR trucking most can't handle it and move on to something else or they go local and can workout at home. Worry about working out later, It'll be at the bottom of the list when it comes to finding parking at night

I'm a loner at heart. I thrive and am happiest when I'm working/doing things alone*. I am misanthropic in the macro (but friendly and gregarious in the micro). I don't like to be bothered much during my workday. I want to see the country. I like trailer camping. And I need to get away from my two adult live-at-home children.

Does that make me a decent candidate? :p

    * I do love it when my wife helps me in the garden.

My trailer is empty about 3hrs a day at MOST. Today it was empty for 3.3mi and 20min. Tomorrow I have an hour and a half dh before a reload.

Honestly there's still plenty of time to do a workout if you want.

But a flatbed set up is pretty much like a crossfit gym that rolls down the road. Chains, binders, tarps, bungees, spare tire, etc.

Folding some lumber tarps once a day is a decent workout lol.

Wait till you smell all the piss from drivers pouring out their jugs on the parking lot. It might be a little cold in the winter in the snow.

Yes flatbed is mostly normal hours. But still get some night running in every blue moon and alot of early early mornings if ur into that. Well an early morning to a non truck driver is like 5am but flatbed , early is more like 2am or 1am. Since ur deliveries are daytime , if u have tight scheduling then ur always gonna be hauling ### to the next drop/pickup. But yes it is easy to find 30 minutes a day to workout . Most drivers find enough time to stuff their faces for 30 mins a day . Which is why were all fat

Pushups and jump roping can be done literally anywhere. I've been doing push-ups and jump squats at rest areas on my 30 minute break for sometime now. I have a dedicated pair of gloves for the push-ups. Just bought a jump rope and about to add that to my little workout. I also try to get in a 30 minute walk 4-5 days per week.
