So,for furture info,if I dont find a local job and choose to go OTR, will any Companies allow me to bring my medium sized reptile buddy otr if he lives in his tank? Hes a mellow, easy going skink. I am not trolling,I'm serious. I need him taken care of properly and if im gone for a week or two at a time I'd want him with me.

this is not my guy but is the same species and same size as what I have:

Asking out of curiousity and for furture reference.

You may want to check with both the trucking companies and the Department of Transportation. Some species of animals may NOT be allowed onto the truck, either by federal law or by the laws of various individual states.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

Don't you think the constant bouncing around would bother him?

probably not.hes been with me about 7 years, through 5 moves, living with roomates who are up being loud as hell blasting music all night, and hes fine. hes gotten a clean bill of health every year so far at his vet visits.

idk if anyone has had experience bringing a pet along who lives in a tank but am curious of their input if so. If anything I can talk my brother into pet sitting but id like to know if any companys are reptile friendly.

Cool monitor lizard (or is this a skink?). :) I don't know if it would be an issue, but you might have a hard time controlling the environment enough in a truck to keep a reptile happy. I have a parrot I'd love to take on the road with me, but I don't want to lose her as a coal mine canary if there's a problem with my exhaust system. I also don't want her stolen or released by some 'helpful' soul in a lot or garage.

I can't be certain of anything after your (OTR) training period, but the training period would be your biggest/first problem.
Most likely, even if you could keep him under wraps, you couldn't do this during your 3wk? to 6wk? training period.

BTW, I believe the other poster was referring to the tattoo (pot leaf).
Looked like an eagle or bird to me.
