Once you get a CDL you cannot get points removed by safety classes.

I would say DO NOT even consider getting your CDL until you have found an employer that knows your full history and which has work that pays a sufficient amount. CDL schools want everyone to hurry up and get a license, even if you may only work for some outlaw Russian outfit in Chicago. 2nd chance companies may not treat you like a human or pay you enough to never get home.

So, none of those tickets were in a CMV correct?

Yes I planned on getting the points removed first.

OTR is attractive to me. I tend to enjoy being on the road driving and living a nomadic life while being left to mostly my own devices and I have no ties. The financing savings of living in the truck are also attractive as I'm already very frugal.

What would you say a "sufficient amount" would be with this kind of record?

And given that I can get the points removed I'm assuming that the only thing that would be on my record would be the ticket for ten over, improper backing, and the suspension for not showing up to court.

I'm not sure that would be on my record either though. Considering the violation that caused those points, and the mandatory court date that resulted from it, that resulted in my suspension, will be removed after the clinic.

Should I be volunteering any information that isn't on my record?

The speeding tickets are there, my motor vehicle record doesn't have any accidents listed.

Can also find a job on Facebook in the trucking groups.
Craigslist also has jobs in trucking for drivers that need a 2nd chance.
