Three trucks involved (kinda)
A is in the right lane traveling below the speed limit
Truck B is in the center lane traveling at or below the speed limit but faster than A
Truck C is in the hammer lane blasting by traffic.
Truck C clips truck B's mirror hard, and just keeps trucking. Is this considered a hit and run even if there is no damage to B?
Would this be considered a Hit and run?

Long time ago when I first started driving I was running an old Ford cabover box truck down a very narrow back road somewhere in northern VA around Leesburg. Met a dump truck coming the other way and ended up smacking our mirrors together. I Stopped at a small country store about 2 miles down the road and fixed the mirror. There was no damage, just was folded in and needed readjusted.
Walked into the store to grab a soda and when I came out there was the dump truck parked next to me and the driver was looking at my mirror shaking his head. Before I could say anything he climbed back in his truck and rolled out. As he was leaving I realized his mirror was totally smashed!
I have had my passenger side mirror folding in a couple of times on the George Washington Bridge. Makes merging onto the Major Deegan real fun, just roll down the window and listen for the horns!nredfor88 and Pamela1990 Thank this. -

I haven't had it happen, but I do worry about it when going through, say, Chicago in a 45mph construction zone with narrow lanes and I am doing the speed limit with trucks zipping by me going 60+ and not keeping to their lane very well.
Mototom Thanks this.
