Would this be considered a Hit and run?

Could’ve been worse. A friend of mine had that happen and the company made him sit on the side of the road and wait to be towed to a shop.

 

Just be careful how you approach the other guy if he doesn't stop....

One of my box trucks had a work van scoot by close enough that the camera shows the top rear barndoor hinge breaking his right fender spot.

You can watch it take out the convex glass leaving the metal backing...no biggie...take it to Penske and done.

BUT NO, the butthead runs up on the interstate, follows the guy onto another ramp and runs down the shoulder to cut him off....

All over a spot mirror head that runs what, 'a buck three eighty'...a drop in the bucket on next month's Penske invoice.

Next thing we know the state troopers on the phone wanting the footage where the mirror is torn off, and the footage of the exit ramp run down, as well as, the two minutes BEFORE the mirror strike...

Kinda' shows our guy cut the work van off...our guy ended up with two tickets.

Time to run his MVR and see how his court date turned out!

 

Truck d was on the grassy knoll

 

Haven't had my mirror hit yet, but had a box truck nail my trailer a few days ago while my lane was stopped. Have a scratch on the trailer while he didn't stop.

 

I got rear ended by an off duty cop in a work zone. 30 eyewitnesses saw him speeding, and slam into me, that liar still tried to blame me for the accident. Court didn't go well for the liar.

 

I bet his pants were on fire!

 

My Tours thru Chiraq are kinda fuzzy.
There are LANES on those
W I D E roads? (I was many trips, in & out during Winter.)

I thot it was Median Jersey Barrier to Wall, Hill, Fence, Bridge, Air, Waterway.
