Well, our Rock Hill run got canceled. So, after a gruling 10 minutes, we got another run. (Take THAT, Abilene). LOL.
A load out of Romulus, Mi to SE of Birmingham, Al. Then, a load out of New Pheonix, Al to Pensacola, Fl. Got some nit picking trailer shuffling between Pensacola and Mobile. Stopped by the yard to exchange paperwork and top off fuel. Then drop and hook in Theodore,Al with a load for Corning, Ar to deliver tomorrow. Drop and hook, then load up for a run to Mass.
Live unload on Monday, then live load going to Illinios. Then, a run to Houston for some R&R. I'm still not used to this pre-planning, being treated like a human and valued driver....and we are a week and a day out.
Only complaint is the basic seat that my wife rides in. But, they are working to fix that now.
We are stopped at a boondock hole in the wall tonight in Kemper, Ms. Shopped at Dollar General, picked up dinner and breakfast at Subway. Floor swept, things put up. Going to review our route for tomorrow.
Having a good time for the most part. More later.RebelChick, Friend, Crusader66 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I've kept up with you since you started at Abilene. I should have read this last night. I'm over in Meridian. I would have offered to pick you guys up for dinner.
KD5AXG Thanks this. -
Stopped at the TA in Erie, Pa. Did well getting this far. We are doing laundry. Then a well deserved sit down meal that doesn't come with fries and a drink. Still have to locate a place to hole up tomorrow in or as close as possible to our delivery to Devens, Ma. Other than that, chillaxing.
Peace. -

To take a stab at my Abilene friends, when we did our paperwork swap at the yard, we stopped for a few minutes on the........patio (GASP).
There was myself, the wife, a dispatcher and another driver getting his truck repaired.
What did we discuss? War stories about driving. That is it. No griping. No #####ing. How nice to be able to enjoy the patio at work. (For a few minutes, anyways. Because we are running steady. Because we were asked to run. (I know, shocking.))
Love you guys. And, thanks to all my followers!!!!Lonesome, Just passing by and RebelChick Thank this. -
Load got screwed up. So, Dawn found a small truck stop we could stage for further instructions. We walked down the road a few blocks, about my limit, and ate some fairly good Chinese food. Now, we are back in the truck. The pics are from a creek that is less than 200' from where we are parked. Gorham, NH is a nice little tourist trap.
Just waiting on instructions. Our timeline to Texas just got screwed, but, we don't really care. It beautiful here. Best place we've ever been stranded. LOL.bigred81 and truckerman75103 Thank this. -
Well, we will take a 34. We'll take the trailer overthere first thing in the morning. And we'll pick it up when they call me to tell me it's ready. Then, head out earlier than first thing on Wednesday for NW Chicago. Hopefully to avoid some of the traffic. I know I'll hit some. It's a given. But, that's trucking! Gotta take the good with the bad.
