Please reference my other post for the complete story on how I was treated by Rush Trucking; http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...op/202602-rush-trucking-wayne-mi-my-full.html

I was fired by Rush Trucking because of the two videos you are about to see. I was told my driving was unsafe and unacceptable. The speed limit in both videos was 55 MPH for trucks and 65 MPH for cars. The videos occurred roughly two months apart. You will notice several instances where the IsMyDrivingSafe.com employee is speeding toward me and calling inaccurate speeds. The speed shown on camera is the IsMyDrivingSafe.com driver's current speed, not mine. In the second video (speed check #2) my speed was called at 58 MPH however the report shows 60 MPH.

In report #3 (no video included, 65 MPH zone, flat terrain) my speed is reported at 64 MPH, 64 MPH and 65 MPH. My truck was governed at 62 MPH. It proved to me how easily these speed checks can be inaccurate.

Is it right for companies to be firing drivers with otherwise outstanding and spotless performance records based solely on these videos and inaccurate reports from IsMyDrivingSafe.com? Rush Trucking thinks so.

They can fire you for any reason. I'd be glad to be gone if they fired you over these silly video's. I personally didn't see you do anything wrong. Hopefully you won't have a problem getting another job.

Thats retarded. Move one look for another job, if there were no citations it never happened... if its on your dac fight it. Good luck

    Edit:
i went to that site and it appears Rush Trucking hired them. So if thats the case they are looking for reasons to fire unsafe drivers, for any little thing.

I saw three trucks in the first video fly by you. You were the slowest vehicle on the road and driving in the right lane. Looks like Rush is shooting themselves in the foot. What a garbage company, they did you a favor. If they call that unsafe then they are living in fantasyland. These companies never cease to amaze me.

My guess is that they have had CSA and/or insurance problems and were required to use this company to follow drivers. Either way you are probably better off not working there.

There's a few things. Is his speedometer calibrated? Was your speedometer calibrated? Law enforcement has to have their equipment regularly calibrated to uphold in court.
What is this guy's training and certification to give valid reports? You can't just wake up one morning and say "hey, I think I'll start a truck driver evaluation company". That brings up credibility.

Even the FMCSA has a 5 mph tolerance. That safety guy is a whacko and has zero experience behind the seat. You can't judge a driver unless you have experience with trucks.

Terrain is not flat but rolling in that area. You are cutting through a gap between the Great Smokey Mountains and the Appalachians. I know that area like the back of my hand like many others do too.

I had one of them evaluations in OH one time. Luckily I'm scared of OH and had my cruise set. I got a at-a-boy. But outside Knoxville 99.8% trucks will exceed the speed limit a couple mph due to the terrain. That safety director is putting unnecessary stress on his drivers with crap like that. I would fire him in a heartbeat.

I'd just make sure the DAC is clean and move on. Sometimes it takes 30 days for stuff to hit your report so hopefully you didn't order it prematurely where you see a clean report and the info went on the day after.
