There's an easier way to solve this problem without confrontation.

Get under his truck with a tape measure and adjust his leveling sensor to your desired amount.. he will leave the trailer raised... but it will be perfect for you

A leveling SENSOR??? Might as well change the muffler bearings while you are at it.

THERE IS such a thing as a "leveling sensor" for air ride tractors. With what, 15 years experience, you did not know that? No need for you to get sarcastic and talk about a muffler bearing.!

Again, to vandalize company equipment is not a very good idea. It can lead to the guys bashing out each others personal vehicle windows, keying the paint, and other acts of destruction which can then lead to one or both being fired.

We all talk about being a "professional", yet so many have resorted to childish behaviors. No wonder people witness such things and have no respect for us so-called professionals.

To my knowledge ALL air ride systems require a leveling sensor, not just big trucks but even the cars/Suv's with air ride have a leveling sensor on them..How else would the compressor know to increase or decrease air?

And actually if you go WAY back to the very first reply on this thread(it was me)the leveling sensor(or lever)is what I was talking about when I said you can grab the lever and push it down and the truck will apply so much air to the bags it will literally take the back axle off the ground with no trailer on it and the truck just spins its wheels unless you lock in the interaxle..its actually quite funny I used to do it to my buddy quite often.

not really so much a sensor as a valve. a rod connected from the axle to a valve on the frame. frame gets closer to the axle it adds air to the suspension. frame gets further from the axle it exhausts air from the suspension. i suppose you could call it a sensor if you want but it is a mechanical valve. the rod from the axle to the valve is adjustable. and if the truck is never out on the road. it should not be a issue but improperly adjusted valves can cause drive line angle problems

Lower air bags back 5th wheel under king pin raise air bags. Roll up landing gear little ways lower bags pull out raise bags back under. Happens all the time if you drop trailer on certain part of yard and they pick up and drop at another with slightly different elevation.

I've been running into this ever since I started trucking and it is not going away anytime soon. You should try to measure the hieght of his and your fifth wheel, just to see if the difference is that bad. Maybe he should be dumping his air before dropping the trailers. Or maybe someone else was compalingin that they were too low. I know it's a whole lot easier to let a 40,000# loaded trailer down to where I need it than it is to raise it high enough to get under it.

Back under trailer off/set till pin hits 5th wheel plate and will try to raze up when you pull put truck will pop up to full hi long enough to back under hi droped trailer an roll legs up fast before air is released, How others (not me) make air ride go hi to get under hi dropped trailer is pop air ride level rod out of ball socket at top, with rod bent at end an let truck air up till driver can hook up and roll legs up,
