I've been hit a couple times and after doing an extensive look-over, told the guy to be more careful and went on about my day. I call something like that in with no damage, all it does is delays me an hour or two taking pics, talking to my company, the cops, whoever else. Why make the day any longer than it already is if it's unnecessary? There have been a handful of others though where I absolutely called it in and did everything by the book, because I'm not getting blamed for ANY damage, no matter how minor it may be for something that isn't my fault. Or like the one time where a driver pulled a stunt like this Swift driver did and just had to attempt to park next to me when 75% of the lot was empty in the middle of the morning. Caught my trailer tail and did some light damage....I went out of my way to call him in for waking me up and about 45 minutes later the California Highway Patrol was there telling him what a great job he did. All so he could be 20 feet closer to the building because his 28-year-old lazyass didn't want to walk that extra little bit.
Just watched the video, wow. All that room and, um, wow! Don't know whether to laugh or cry. I don't what to say but for some reason I have an urge to watch these guys
Somebody commented about this video that humans are the most kind and efficient killers. A gun would have been quicker than this, and it is only 48 seconds.
That appears to be an inexperienced bear, normally he should have clamped down on the back of the deer's neck and snapped it easily when he shook his head violently. Plus you gotta figure, in order for the deer to have been caught by the bear, it was already injured or diseased.
I'm not a cruel person, and I don't get satisfaction by watching a predator make its kill, however this is a deer, the scourge to all motorist. My heart strings weren't tugged listening to its cry like they would have had it been any other animal.
Didn't bother me either. During the 4 years my dog was on the truck, she caught many a wild animal and killed it. What usually happened was we'd be out for our walk, she was on the end of a 25 foot retractable leash and would scare up mice, rats, rabbits, one time a racoon. I have seen her grab those critters and before I could stop her she'd have them swallowed already. Well the racoon and her got into it I tried pulling her back but he was so badly wounded I let her go back and kill it. I know I know so many people are going to come down on me for that. But I couldn't just let it crawl off and die a painful death.
We have cat who is a killer. She brought home a bunny that was still alive. My wife chased off the cat, and the bunny suffered for a day or so. The next time, she took all the kids out of the room to let the cat finish the bunny off.
