You can't refuse a DOT inspection but...

I recorded a PA Trooper once when he stopped me on 15 just shy of the NY line. Then I posted it to YouTube and wouldn’t you know the sob saw it. He rang my cell phone and told me I was in violation of wiretapping laws and if I didn’t take it down in within the hour he was issuing a warrant for my arrest.

 

I hope you told him to eff off...

The most they can do is flag the video with the youtube staff who will review it. If the video is legal it will stand otherwise youtube will give you x amount of hours to remove the video or blur the faces. Remember officers lie and intimidate to get what they want.

Beside all that, he might be able to get a warrant but it is worthless without a judge's signature. Even if he did get it signed and even if you did get arrested, you would win in court and be able to sue him for harassment.

I did not wasn’t sure I wanted to call his bluff and potentially get arrested and held without bail in a foreign country just to prove my point

If there's a next time, say, "Fine, officer. But what I'm going to do first is add your phone number and name and a description of your threat to the YouTube page and then I'm going to call the following media outlets and your troop commander. Have a nice day." *click*

Lol I tell you what I was some surprised when he told me who he was. He pulled me over because I was overwidth and the overwidth truck behind me was inside 1,000 ft or whatever the rule is/was......and I had a T8 that day

 

Wel, if he reads this and calls me I will tell him to head down south and I will say it to his face, LOL. Of course, he might get lost if he leaves Pennsylvania.
