It's not what you make, it's what you keep. Don't be salty bro. You could go get a raise at Schneider too, but I don't recommend it.
You'll never guess why I didn't take this job off Craigslist

I've considered alternative paths, but I'm homeless and I'd prefer to keep it that way, unless I can get free housing or find something amazingsukhumvit Thanks this.

Why would I be salty? I've paved my own trail thru this Industry and will continue to do so. I ain't afraid to work or take an ### kicking every once in awhile, or eat a #### sandwich or 2. Quit acting like a child and quit being a wussy

Yeah man and what do you have to show for it? All that time. Not a dam thing huh. You're driving for free and you don't even know it

Well, it isn’t entirely always about the money either.
The outfit I work for may not pay as much as Saia, but we have assigned trucks and trailers, permanent bids, linehaul runs on weekends, and 1500 mile a week peddle runs bidded by both territory AND start time. All the other outfits are managed like union companies except without the pension and protection from getting fired for breaking wind the wrong way. They all have things like job class seniority lists and semi-annual rebids for runs and trucks, in case one of the senior guys cries because he wants your run.
I’ve been on the same run now for over 10 years and wouldn’t have it any other way. It would take a hell of a lot to make me even consider jumping ship.Sons Hero, Iamoverit, bryan21384 and 6 others Thank this. -
The State of Texas offers rooms for employees. Other states might be the same, but you'll be sharing with someone else until you qualify for a VIP BOQ which is based on pay grade or seniority. I'd personally never go this path, but it's an option that many people take advantage of.Chi Town Steers Thanks this.

Some folks do, some folks talk. I can't stand a talker.
Unfortunately, many have replaced the word "earn" with "deserve".
Seems like the case here.
There's lots of success stories on here, and guarandamnteed they were earned.Numb, Sons Hero, Sirscrapntruckalot and 9 others Thank this. -
Make one bad move in that truck and
Good for you I'm happy you're happy. I think the more common thing is that company loyalty is a thing of the past. Pension ha, you're funny. Being treated like a human, 50/50. And I would argue as a drivers advocate that most drivers are anywhere from mildly to severely underpaid. Very few are paid correctly. -
That's interesting, never heard about that one.

Aww he needs daddy to come stand up for him. He can talk #### until he gets some one who didn't want to tell him the truth but did. Thanks Daddy
