Well during covid, there was a freight boom. Everyone was buying everything in the stores. Drivers were happy because rates and freight were where they thought it should be. My company gave us a bonus, and a decent raise, but one that was sustainable. Many companies were offering 70 cpm! The problem is that many of those companies didn't have foresight. Freight was good, but they had to foresee that there was going to be a freight recession, maybe even a crash. I guess they didn't. Some companies scaled back pay. Others scaled back personnel. I saw in an article where Heartland Express was scaling back equipment. I will agree, that if you have experienced drivers, the CSA score has a greater chance of staying low, but I'm just not understanding why you're angry at them for doing what's best for their business. I'd like to think you'd do the same if you had a business. Not only that, rookie screw ups can be costly. Training programs are costly. Many companies cut that to save money. That's all that is man. It's the money game. The industry has ebbs and flows. It takes time to get to the money. I mean....you got that Chicago Bulls logo as your avatar. When they draft a player, don't they gotta last 3 or 4 years, and perform at a high level to get that super max contract extension?

 

Me neither. If you’re not in your forties just wait. It’ll hit one day and you’ll be like ###### what did i do that for. There are plenty of good companies out here. Gotta do the research. And put in the time. Get that year. I’ll pm you.
