I'm addicted. I ain't right if I don't keep the caffeine flowing. 2-3 cups over 2-3 hours in the morning and a big cup about 5 and I'm dosed. That said, I used to get in a jam all the time where I was gonna end up in a ditch without my 5 pm cup. I got a single cup Keurig. Small and doesn't have a water tank, decent coffee in about a minute and runs off my inverter. I really like the Walmart French Roast K-cups (cause that's where OTR truckers shop but can't park :/). Pretty good, reliable and strong coffee. Every other K-cup I've tried is crap.
Backup is pour over with Seattle's Best #4 from Kroger or Walmart. Excellent stuff. French press is good but too messy and complicated for a truck. Pour over requires a filter and some coffee. I've made a pour over funnel out of a plastic funnel, paper plate, piece of tin foil, about anything that will roll up. Works great as long as you have a filter.
I never pay for my favorite cup because I have a million points at Pilot/J. Sumatra from those fresh grind machines. Amazing. If I have to pay it's McDonald's. It's the only thing I'll pour down my gullet from that sh*thole.Lepton1 and Oldironfan Thank this. -
