Ok, so I have 5 questions for you experienced drivers, what is the maximum height a trailer can be? What is the maximum weight for the front axle of the truck? What is the maximum length for a combination tractor trailer? What's the maximum weight for seperated axles? What is the maximum width of the trailer?

All questions are subjective. Depending on what you're hauling, where you're hauling it, and what endorsements you have but generally

    12,000 on steers
    34,000 on dual axle drives
    34,000 on dual axle tandems
    80,000 gross weight

Length depends on route and local laws
    Height depends on route

East, 13'6 tall. West 14 (most western states). Length varies, but 75 ft is safe ( not talking doubles and triples, B Trains, Rocky Mountain doubles...etc). Front axle max depends on your steer tire rating...for most, around 13000-14000 on average.
Max axle weight depends on your wagon axle spacings and your location, but usually 17000 lbs. some allow 22000, but not on the interstates.
Trailers width 8'6. Conestogas and other specialty trailers are allowed 9. There are certain open deck trailers that are 10-11 ft wide, but they have to buy special permits.

    13 ft 6 in or 14 ft.depending on state(s)

As a general rule 14s are allowed West of MS River with some exceptions.
This is for Box Trilers or Reefers.

Average 13ft 6in height for box trailer all 48
CA allows 14 ft for hay loads
A flatbed can be a drop, double drop or a flat and can be various maximum heights but the loads can only be 13ft 6in above the ground.

Some trucks have a 20,000 limit on the steers. I didn't believe it until it was confirmed.

This are just a guide to go by, steer axle can go up to 14500, tandem axles pending on state can go as high as 36000+, the 80,000 max can be broken too, if you get a permit, If you would like a list of states for more accurate weight, go to your local truck stop and look threw a truckers atlas, on single axle(non-steers) can go to 20,000

There's a good break down at the front of your good old Rand McNally Road Atlas by state for weights and length/height etc. I see they're a little cheaper these days now they have GPS to compete with. Well worth the $25 I saw them for at the truck stop.
