Also snow removal in these roundabouts is always terrible. This creates additional stress for low boy trailer operators during winter months.

When I took drivers ed many years ago, they had a seasoned owner op come in and give a lecture about sharing the road with trucks. It was invaluable, and I wish every drivers ed course did that.

UK - 1966, so far as the internet tells me.

Which is full of truth, of course:)

Joplin installed one at X8, I-44. It’s confusing at first, but much safer than the cloverleaf at X18, which regularly sees injury/fatality wrecks.

That one sees traffic entering and exiting the ramps at 35mph into 70+ mph interstate traffic, in a space of less than 400ft. Total disaster.

Safety , don't read super truckers messages here who don't know better , majority of them never was visiting another countries.
Roundabouts saving way more time they stupid red traffic lights everywhere, especially on some small traffic road. Like cmon why I need to waste 3 minutes of my life at red light with 0 traffic around? In roundabout situations I can simply continue to drive.

Or and btw about new trends in intersections.

Anyone turning left only has to yield to traffic from one direction. I think they are pretty slick.

Ha! Look at you, :thumbup:I believe it darn sure is. Just double checked my fuel receipt. Thought I went to a TA, but its Pilot Carbondale rd, Dalton GA. That's the one..

I was Southbound, hit the off ramp dark & rainy what a surprise!
My spread pulls long for a 48'er, with 44'6" KPRA. Curbed it slightly going over to the Pilot, then again circling it to hit the I75 southbound on ramp..

They're building a round about at 1-20 exit 112 (West Monroe, La) where the Pilot is), on the west bound side. Its well into the process, so there is construction going on at that intersection.
I hate these things. Granted, we only have one in the area & its not on a main street so most people dont use it often, including me but I still dis-like roundabouts.
