In the past I have been accused of personifying those remarks. But I have not been called from active reserves yet.

Have to love trucking some days. Dispatch has delivery appointment for 0600. Shipper has delivery appointment for 0600. Run over night from dallas at 2000 to little rock 0500. Check in at 0530. When receiving opens. "You're not scheduled for delivery until 1200."

So I could have slept well and left in the morning. But 8 hours of detention pay.

So I'm a bit po'd. In my insurance I pay for rental coverage $30/30 days. However, they only actually cover 7 days after they payout the claim. So my 30/30 turned into 30/7 since I told my wife to get it a few days later so we'd have transportation while we looked for her a vehicle.

    Soo..

Drive all day, get to the destination, there is 2 trucks infront of me with same product.

“It’ll be about 0100-0200 before we come get you to unload.”

    Me
“I’ll see you tomorrow, I’m going to go eat and get a shower, the next shift will deliver
    this tomorrow.”

Am I wrong for not driving all day and unloading, (about 2-2.5 hours) and then being up being covered with chicken byproduct?
