    The sticker doesn't mean squat when you next get pulled in.

    All it means is that you will have a little bit of your vision obscured from that part of the windshield.

    I wondered about that too. The only thing I could come up with was that the logs were edited. We assumed, I think, that it was the current status, but it could have been anytime in the past 8 days really.
    So, if he drove yesterday & edited the log last night when stopped, that could have been what happened. If that's the case, its either a shady small op, or an OO. Either can edit logs. That could get the company a full audit if the trooper reports it or if they catch it down through the process somewhere.

    Last 2 times I got inspections, they were out of stickers. WTF? I offered to stop at the next scale in Tn. to get one. Nope doesn’t work that way. That’s as bad a quick paperwork check thats good, without any report. Stickers supposed to be good for 3 mos. I was told long ago, to leave it on for a year.
