Unless they have a 64 mph truck. The problem with a lot of loads is they are basing the times on an unrealistic average speed.

    tscottme and 123hereicome Thank this.

I don't think that makes that big a difference. I've had trucks that ran 65 pretty much the entire time I've been driving. 30 hrs is ample time to run 1200 miles for teams. Thats 10 hrs apiece. I think the issue is running 8 hrs and change a day with long hauls. They're a team running like a solo.

    tscottme Thanks this.

The op did mention loads are figured at 40 mph. That's pretty realistic for the rocky mountains.

Unless they're driving an old weak truck.

This is where some of these owners/carriers just beat the living hell out of drivers, treating them as throwaways.

I just sent three teams off on vacation, it isn't something they wanted, it was mandated that they get out of the truck for a while (1 to 3 weeks) and go somewhere that they can decompress. Burnout is the biggest problem whether or not people feel they are getting there.

They want to switch us to a dedicated route so we will be off 2 days a week.

A better solution is to run 10 hours a day each and on the 8th day, take it as a day off for both of you. The first driver who goes back to work the second driver finishes a rolling 34.
