I FIRMLY believe that a large percentage of drivers out here would be completely unable to function in any other job.

 

Is there a weekend person for breakdowns? The empty I picked up in Victorville has a flat tire. I gave the tire inflation thing a little bit to do its work when I drove down the road to the truck stop but said tire is still flat. Upon closer inspection it looks like it's off the bead completely. I'm not a tire expert so I could be wrong about that.

 

Nvm weekend dispatch called and we decided to wait until morning for breakdown to see what they want to do. Neither me nor weekend dispatch has any clue where they would want me to go. Closest TA or Love's is 35 miles up the road in Barstow.

 

Well finally finished reading the rest of this thread. I'm sorry if i blew up y'alls inboxes with notifications of thanking posts.

I still believe I made the right choice coming here despite a small bump along the way. Everyone I have interacted with has been great. I'll know for sure after I spend a month or two with the company.

 

You were smart..you did your research unlike many don’t do…

 

Took three hours to get my tire fixed. Had a 10 am appointment but told dispatch my ETA wasn't until about 11:30. Now I sit here in Chino, CA to be worked in. Load is going to Denison, TX for Thursday morning.

APU also #### the bed so I'm forced to idle my truck.

 

I sleep better with the thing idling than a punkazzz apu puttering away 2 feet from my head.
