Poly has all their trucks keyed the same which is stupid. If someone has written up their truck for some shop repair while on the yard, they pretty much have to hang a sign in the window while they're sleeping in it so a mechanic doesn't just unlock it and drive it to the shop with the driver in the sleeper. I scared one mechanic half to death when he was driving to the shop and I popped out of the sleeper and politely asked him to drop me by the driver's room at the office. I don't speak spanish, but I am pretty sure he was using some curse words when I 1st started talking.
Not to mention, other drivers could play a joke and screw with your truck if you parked it at the yard when you had to use a loaner.

I was working for Jb Hunt in '99, walked over to a truck I thought was mine and my key opened the door. Climbed inside the truck and was met with a gun barrel against my nose, almost died that day.

Left the house Monday morning, deadheaded to Forest City, Nc and picked up a load going to Menards in Shelby. Dropped that Tuesday afternoon, picked up a short run from the Menards DC to a store in Lincoln. Kicked that off Tuesday evening, took my break in their parking lot.
Rolled out about 0230 morning and grabbed a load off the CB yard going to a Food Lion DC in Greencastle, Pa for Thursday evening. Currently sitting on the Indiana toll road taking my 10.truckerman75103 and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this. -
Had a fuel filter service Monday afternoon in CB, left early Tuesday am heading to Aurora, wouldn't ya know it, something has to go wrong after being in a shop. About 30 minutes from Aurora my qualcomm committed suicide! I think it came unplugged inside the dash, the lights all went out and there's been no power at all since. Been on paper the last 2 days, getting through Fremont tomorrow to see about getting it fixed

Before I could say anything he opened the door and was greeted by a 90# American Staffordshire Terrier (one of the pit breeds) and #### neared jumped out of his skin. I couldn’t help but laugh and proceeded to introduce him to a “very happy to see anyone other than Dad” puppy that would likely lick you to death than harm you.
All was good and after his heart stopped pounding, we rolled out.
He didn’t travel with me very often, just a couple weeks at a time, as he didn’t like riding in the big scary rumbling Truck, and mom missed him too, but I did enjoy having him along at times as he was such an ice breaker with other Drivers.dwells40, wulfman75, ncmickey and 1 other person Thank this. -
