Found out yesterday morning that my travel agent is out (doing the orientation class thing again) so I have his fill in covering. Don't get me wrong, she does o.k., but having to do her regular job and cover my travel agent's drivers too slows things way down. Told them last week that my PTA was going to be Thursday with hours to work. Updated them Monday that I was going to deliver on Wednesday, but PTA was still Thursday so I wouldn't need to start my 14 until it was time to pick something up. Then verified with them yesterday morning that I was still on track to deliver Wednesday and ready with a fresh clock Thursday morning. They've had a week notice of when I needed a load, but I was done with my delivery and at a truckstop by noon yesterday, and still no load by their quitting time. You'd think, with a week notice, they would have had something set up.

My next load just arrived via a local driver
1st RGN load, going to the Michigan NASCAR track. Can't say they're not keeping it interesting, that's for sure -
Nice. At least it finally showed up.

Load is 14' high. And I needed to find ramps to keep the truck from damaging the battery compartment as it came off the trailer. The yard guru said he didn't think they had any so he told me how to build some. After I came in to do laundry, I get a message telling me they found a set and where to get them (by the time I got everything situated traffic was a cluster, so I will leave before dawn tomorrow). I have until Tuesday afternoon to get this there(2350 miles), so not a huge rush.

The now dead Magnum thread and both of the Crete Year in Review threads are several thousand pages each. Also one I see but rarely look at is the “what if it snows” thread. I wish TTR had a stats page. Those are always interesting.
dwells40 Thanks this.
