If he lowered it, means he’d been pulling it.
So therefore, no brakes set from pulling it forward to rip off bumper?
Or am I over deducing this?

Well, you signed what we used to call an exoneration card.
Basically you just said it that wasn’t his fault.

    So therefore…

That's it, not sure why all the armchair lawyers got in on this. 1st, brakes must be set when exiting the vehicle, almost a given, and not sure a tow truck operator would check that, just be grateful it didn't roll away causing more damage and signing the waiver was the kiss of death. Tow truck companies do this all the time, called, covering their butts, it's how they stay in business. Can you imagine the frivolous lawsuits a towing company must face? I HATE calling out one of our "members", but I think a screwup on your part, sorry. Not the end of the world, just looks like a company truck now,,,looks like an easy fix and a deer could do the same thing. You'll be fine.

Wide radator means its likely a 17 or 18 579 maybe a late 16. Owning a 17, 579 myself that bumper is pretty low even with the aftermarket one I use to clear stuff as a rock bucket. god forbid the stock bumper.

Only way to get it on a hook is to use lumber or steel supports to hold it up or the hook is going to rip crap off. So thats just industry standard practice at this point. And keep in mind my 579 has the "short" bumper which adds 6 inches of clearance and even it needs to go on blocks and did each and every time it has needed to be towed.

It's just a form of story telling, I could say I should have known you would make a snarky comment about it.
