And now you'll be living in state with no state income tax.

Planning to go back out tomorrow morning. Picking up a trailer from another driver just west of McPherson. His name is Scott, i’ve swapped loads with him before when he came up to Salina to get a loaded trailer from me. Then i’ll head down to the Walmart DC in Sanger, TX to drop it. I made sure to run my APU yesterday for awhile so i don’t go out to the airport tomorrow to a dead truck.

Staying out only 3 weeks this time instead of 4. Staying out for 3 weeks or so and going home for 4-5 days is a nice happy medium for me, as well as preserving my mental health. Staying out a whole month gets grueling when you enter your fourth straight week on the road.

It’s been a day, spent the night last night in Bentleyville, PA. They are in the middle of a remodel so there were no showers to be had. Dropped in Bethel, PA and my empty had suffered at the hands of a forklift. About 30 minutes of beating on it with a mini sledgehammer and several strips of duct tape later hopefully it’s good enough.

Drove on a lot of skinny roads to pick up in McClure, PA and felt like a dwarf hanging out with the Harlem Globetrotters. After a lot of cranking it was finally in a coupling position.

Glad i’m a company driver. Just too much bs to deal with as an O/O or L/P to justify being one. More freedom doesn’t matter if it just comes with more headaches
