What can I even say about this? Failure all around. Thank goodness the government is here to protect us.

His attorney told the court that Sumner was watching movies on Facebook at the time of the wreck. Although he was advised against speaking, Sumner reportedly stated “Oh, God, I [am not] ever going to be able to work,” during court proceedings.

Officials believe that Sumner had oxycodone in his system and was out on bond for drug possession and driving while impaired from an incident back in May 2023 at the time of Tuesday’s crash.

Yeah, he’s got a disability, we’ll pay him to sit home, watch cartoon, and procreate.

For DWI,killing someone, using a cellphone and fleeing an accident scene on foot after the fact??
I think North Carolina is going to throw the book at him!
He didn’t learn his lesson the first time around!
The bond for the previous DWI he had is more than likely going to be revoked!

But…it was an accident, and the circumstances after the said accident, he was in fear of his life.

In fear of his life from what???
If I was the family of the tanker driver who he killed,I’d sue him,the dump truck company(they were stupid enough to hire him) and go after the court responsible for turning him loose on bond! They knew
d a m n well that this clown had a substance abuse problem and they let him get behind the wheel anyway!
They all have blood on their hands and they deserve to suffer the tanker driver family’s wrath!
