No, not right now, go back to your first company if you want a life.
    Doubt it.

Starting out with a truck that’s paid for is a plus, question is, how well has it been maintained and what underlying issues are just a few miles from you setting in a shop?

A truck can be like a woman with bad financial skills, they can throw it out the back door with a teaspoon quicker than you can throw it in the front door with a grain shovel as my kinfolk use to say.

In my opinion, if you’re hungry enough and want to succeed you can make it, but you will have to be married to the truck day in and day out for a while.

My bucket of bolts as I call it is paid for as is my flatbed and lowboy. Find you a path to the freight before you buy the truck and end up trading dollars with cheap left over freight….

Prime example of the latter part of my earlier post. Sad thing is, somebody will end up moving it, hopefully for a better rate though….

    Let me tell ya fella.

I’m on my second load for the month. My neighbors think I’m unemployed. I’ve covered my fixed costs for the year, and I’ve only done $40 k so far this year.

And the only reason I can do that, is because we don’t have any payments - on anything.

So, yes - I’ve put in a fraction of my time vs a company driver.

If @Edgar1980 is looking to CLEAR $100k right now, he had better like the look of grey hair, a precarious financial situation, 80+ hours a week, and a casino full of luck.

Can this just be reposted or stuck to every thread like this?

It's a very good post, despite it probably not being what the OP wants to hear, or the others to come after him.

Either way...Good luck to the OP!

Oh...eat more tacos, I hear it helps make a business successful usually the taco shop, or a clothing store, but still!

It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to succeed. In this life we get nothing save by effort.

My last employer was over 20 years ago this month. I was 26, had 3 young kids, wife, 1000$ cash, and a lifetime of bad financial decisions.

If you're tough enough you can get through dahm near anything....

But smart decisions are sooo much easier
