Nice. Did you get a load of lav’s and galley’s?

The other driver and I made it to within 200 miles of delivery in Alberta. We should deliver tomorrow morning. 3 days ahead of schedule.

when I’m empty I’m heading to Billings Montana to swap with another driver and take a legal load back to the same job site in Alberta.

We had a bit of excitement today in Montana. The big load route is to go west out of Shelby to Cutbank then north and back east on progressively worse roads until you are right at the Sweetgrass crossing. The roads went from paved to paved with no lines to ground asphalt to gravel of various widths. Some was very skinny (Less then 20’) and some was nice and wide (40’ plus).

We are 17’ wide. we met a 16’ going to other way and were able to squeeze by with ease. The next load was 25’ wide and of course we met him at the skinniest part of the detour. Luckily he had 12’ or better off the ditch side and we only had to backup about half a mile to find a passing location.

It's some kind of plywood manufacturing forms, some racks and a tote of tools. Weighs around 7000 lbs, going to Strongsville OH for ASAP.

And your routing is another reason I am glad I don't do OD loads anymore. While I was in the office, I was talking to Kim in safety, she said this Microsoft patch SNAFU is causing a lot of problems with the company getting OD permits. You should be grateful that you already had this trips permits processed

I thought that with all the needs the shop had to address with my truck, I figured that by the time I got fixed it would be too late and I was here for the whole weekend, so getting out of here under a load, in a conestoga no less, is a reason to celebrate.

I did hear that issue took out several states. Lucky timing for sure.

the routing has its pluses and minuses. I get to see roads and things I would never chose to take typically. We saw some beautiful sights coming across Montana between Billings and great falls.

My good friend Randy Mantz drove on that account with Schneider from 2007 until it ended.

You toss it over it's head just before you jump on it's s back and tape it's mouth closed. If it sees you coming, one guy in the front with the pole isn't strong enough to keep it from whipping around or rolling and maybe take a chunk of your leg or your arm before you get it pinned to the ground. A gator's jaw is only strong when it is biting down not when it's opening. Once you have it pinned down by sitting on it's back and have it's mouth closed, you can hold it closed with 1 hand while you use something like electrical tape to keep it from opening until you relocate it.
