Oh we all have them days. And it all works out since I need to be back in Lincoln for three days of RTO starting tonight. So they had to keep me in the area to get me back. Running to Lincoln today for a Live Load, then drop it at KC then go grab a load in KC to Crete then off for three days.

Going Camping at. Father/Son event in an “Uncle” role with my Friend and his son outside Lincoln. Was Blessed with Two Daughters so this will be a first for me… LOL … Should be a good time and I really need to get out of this Truck for a bit.

    stay safe

Taking it as a good sign that KC is FULL of loaded trailers.

It could be a bunch of loads with too much time on them

Finally figured out where I was supposed to go and what I was supposed to do this morning. Only did 587 miles today because i hit some unusually heavy traffic everywhere on 24 it seemed like, especially in Kentucky for some reason. Still made it to Bowling Green, MO for the night. I was going to push for north of Hannibal but just didn’t have the time on my clock.

I will roll out around 5 am tomorrow and hopefully get my load of carpet dropped in Shell Rock, IA by 10 am.

Breakdown wants to get my truck into Freightliner because of some A/C issue i keep having but i don’t know how that’s going to happen. Best case scenario, i end up in Fremont or CB late tomorrow afternoon or early evening.

    *flatbed*

Finally get the load of shingles off of the trailer this morning in Fort Collins. But not after watching the idiot light on the fuel gauge for 70 miles yesterday. I could reincarnate an old post of mine on this issue. But I’ll spare the world and say that the fuel solutions they have nailed down pretty good. They had it down to the gallon 2 stops in a row.

Back to the unload. Get empty. Send in final. Get a message, “head to Fremont”. I’ll take a 540 mile dead head. But going back to previous experience here, this was normal for me If I was in Colorado to bounce back to Fremont or Lincoln.

My dispatcher is on vacation and I call in as my interim dispatcher sent in a message saying to see safety in the morning. So I asked her what would be a good time to roll in tomorrow since I won’t make it to the terminal tonight. She said 8-10a and that would be good for me to head to Lincoln afterwards (need my company ID and my trailer needs service) to pick up another preloaded trailer of fencing going back to Riverside for Monday. “Which I’ll have plenty of time to get back out there”. Until I reminded her that I have home time scheduled for Tuesday. Keep in mind I’ve not been home since I flew to Fremont and I have no essentials in the truck with me. I’ve lived out of a suitcase for two weeks.

So no clue what I’ll have in store. I might take one of y’all’s van loads o_O

We(at SPD) have a shingle run out of Fontana to CO...many times our drivers head to the Wichita area. Gotta love all the deadhead miles doing flatbed.

Did my Edgerton KS to Council Bluffs again this morning and then got a Kawasaki load from the Fremont yard down to the Dallas drop yard. I wouldn’t have been able to make as much headway as I would’ve liked and then would have got to Dallas mid afternoon Friday, then who knows what for a reload and that would put me back to KC late Saturday. I called and asked if I could just go home and leave Sunday with it because the receiver in Dallas isn’t gonna take it over the weekend anyway and I knew it was appointed for Friday. Said they didn’t care that’d probably work out better anyway I can get something Monday morning out of Dallas. So home again! Thursday starts the weekend! :occasion9:
