@supersnackbar i passed you yesterday in Wichita on 135, didn’t even have the professional courtesy to return the one finger salute. You could have seen some of my hard work in Wichita, I drop my wing trailer there and had to go recover that big gray box off the side of the road. Dang Volvos always breaking down. Trying to get a 13’6” wide box that is almost 15’ tall into the yard is a real ##### right now with all the construction.
Got my piece loaded and thank god I didn’t have to tarp this. They looked at me like I had three heads when I asked about tarping it. Ended up right at 16’ tall and 14’4” wide. We will take off for northern Alberta in the morning.Lonesome, Knucklehead, brian991219 and 3 others Thank this. -
I couldn't imagine pulling an OD load thru that gate... you're a better man than I am.
Speaking of the gate, Don sent a FWD email from Scott saying that we are to only use the main gate and that the north gate had been locked permanently. When I was leaving to go pick up this load, I did as instructed (from the correct direction) and as I went by the north gate, it was wide open...guess they changed their mind. -

To tell ya how scatterbrained I was yesterday. I have been schlepping around an extra 3 pc set of tarps since I met the Arlington local driver at the Genie plant. I decided that I would drop the extra set off at the Wichita yard. So I pull across behind the shop, and pull what I think is 2 end tarps and a center tarp off my trailer and stack them on the tarp pallet, then park and call it a night. I could have sworn that I sorted out and grouped each set together after unloading in Stillwater. I realized I screwed up when I went to tarp this load and I have one end tarp and 2 center tarps... apparently I dropped off 3 end tarps at the yard. It's still a useable set, just not a matched set.

The boss is back from vacation in Rancho, so I already know what I am doing after I get empty tomorrow. He called and said he had a choice for me, CT or SC. I picked SC, mostly because I stand a better chance of getting a quicker reload out of SC than I would out of CT. Plus, it's a lite load on a conestoga. CT would have been more miles, but I might not get a run out of there right away, so that negates the extra miles. Plus, he was having one of the local guys pick the load up today, so tomorrow I empty out down by LAX then head straight for the yard. He said he only has 2 more trucks to load out of his area for the rest of the week... that's the way things should work!!!!
