It's worse than you think. On Sunday, I told the dispatcher that I was not moving until he dispatched an empty move. He lied and said he did dispatch it and there must be something wrong with the system. He says that every single time, but has no problem dispatching regular loads. I parked the truck and took the day off. They can't fire me because they know I can sue them for violating whistleblower laws. I just went back to work the next day.

So now, I will be the only driver that has the correct load number and description in the settlements for JA's. If they refuse to dispatch again, I'm going home again.

Meh, I find this hard to swallow. I worked for JB Hunt. You can say a lot of ####ty things about them but you can never say they are stingy with money, they never screwed over anyone I knew, they even went out of their way to pay for things like lockouts, mechanical down-time, parking, detention...in fact I'd say of all the companies I worked for, JB Hunt was the LEAST sneaky.

I have an update. Job Assignments are paid $32 + mileage + fuel surcharge. If Job Assignments are not dispatched, it cannot be entered with the correct load number. The driver is told to enter it into the system using an unrelated load number, or no load number at all. The system assumes it is an Exception, and not a Job Assignment. So, the driver gets $32, and that's all. The driver does not get mileage and fuel surcharge. That's why some dispatchers don't dispatch them. What other reason could there be for not doing their jobs correctly?

"What other reason could there be for not doing their jobs correctly?"

    Well, lots of reasons really.

Lazy, incompetent, lack of attention to detail are a few off the top of my head. Probably others as well.

People not doing their jobs accurately or in it's entirety really is not that uncommon. More common than those that deliberately commit fraud or rip people off while at work.

until the case in court gets an actual update which could be a while I know cases can take many months for anything and even if there is a verdict winning that's not all she rode there is appealing it.

ya no every member company in the American Trucker Association had multiple lawsuits and loses due to bad practices. You don't get that big by being a good company, and thats not to say small companies cant do this either but everyone those companies have honed the skills of cutting corners, trimming fat and everything they can make doing the work cheaper.

Unh.. That is how they became a "major" company. It is my lawyers duty to be uncooperative to you when you sue me. You will be astounded at things like this you will see when you get out in the world of today a little more.
