@Wolfenslade ALL of this right here, also, 65mph is too slow for me, I already do that at the company that I'm at now, slow as hell... And it feels like I'm just sleeping on the road. We also have a driver facing camera here, which I LOATHE! I'm just getting my experience here, then bounce and you best believe the next company I'm gonna go to will not have a driver facing camera in their truck and they will go over 65mph. ( unless I absolutely have too)

COTC seems to have too many bs company policies, just like most Daseke companies i’ve heard about.
I think i’ll stick to dragging a dry van aroundnextgentrucker, Speed_Drums and kylefitzy Thank this. -
Daseke got bought out
needanewjerboutwest Thanks this. -
They might have some silly policies but every place does. I will say it seems possible to make over 100k there pretty easily. They seem to have the miles
drvrtech77, nextgentrucker and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -
that’s right i forgot

to be fair, i know next to nothing about open deck except for what i’ve learned from SSB’s experiences at SPD.
I’ve been interested a little bit in flatbed but if i do decide to try it, my company has a flatbed division, albeit a pretty small one. I believe only 30 trucks on that particular fleetnextgentrucker and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -
The policies weren't really from the former Daseke company. Many of our policies here at SPD are different than COTC, Lonestar or Boyd, etc. I mean, COTC and Lonestar have driver facing cameras, but many other former Daseke companies don't. We heard that all Daseke companies were going to Samsara, but on another thread, we heard from a Lonestar driver that they're getting Peoplenet back. Boyd, Wylie, Lonestar and COTC are governed at 65 where we're at 68, and I am passed frequently by TSH company trucks when I am at 68. Where COTC is given a route and fuel plan, we can go whichever route we choose and our general freight fleet can fuel at any Love's we choose. Although one thing I can say, I think many of us former Daseke company drivers are still a little uncertain about what, if any future changes the Canuks have in store for us. We shall see.Last edited: Nov 18, 2024
kylefitzy, Knucklehead, Lonesome and 1 other person Thank this. -
I agree with this. Things are weird, and no Daseke company is the same.kylefitzy, Knucklehead and cdavis188 Thank this.

Did COTC recently turn up their trucks? I’m governed at 68 and had one keeping up with me
D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
Not that I know of. I just joined them recently and they said that all of our trucks are at 65 on pedal and cruise.
