An old man's career goes flat, Snackbar moves to open deck

Nebraska and Wyoming doesn’t do such a hot job either. Here in Kansas, KDOT does a pretty decent job with our roads most of the time. Last winter i had to pick up a load in NE when i left hometime. Google maps showed green all the way until it hit the state line, then immediately went to yellow and red. Checked traffic cams and NE hadn’t even touched 81

 

Only states that i’ve been to a lot that have good plow equipment are the upper Midwest states. In MN and other states, they even have equipment that will swing out from the plow truck towing it to clear two lanes at once. Something like this

 

In the early 90's, it snowed on I40 in Texas. Got real slushy, then froze hard and snowed more on top of the ice. 5 mph was high speed as the ruts in the ice threw you around. When the media asked then governor Ann Richards why dot wasn't cleaning the roads, she replied " God put it there, God can take it away"

 

Utah has those as well

 

Happy thanksgiving SSB, and everyone else reading this.

I made it home last night after swinging by Wichita and picking up the trailer for next week. I flipped both axles for the two trailers we need. I fix a few minor issues while I’m at home that the last guy left me. Then Tuesday we are off to Alberta at 104k.
